To All the Events I Got To Be Part Of | To All Boys I've Loved Before

To All the Boys I've Loved Before is one of my favorite book-to-movie adaptations ever.
(Yes, I totally said it.)

I'm thrilled that this film is finally up on Netflix for anyone with an account to view, and I'm hoping it reaches the levels of success it deserves! If you're not entirely certain what the premise of this film is, it's about Lara Jean Song Covey who writes a love letter to each boy she has a crush on and hides them in her hatbox... until the day that the letters are sent out and the boys start receiving them. And that's only a part of the story because it's also about family. It's about being yourself and not settling for less than someone who can respect and love that. (For more, I'd suggest checking out the book reviews I wrote for the series - 1, 2, 3 - and reading the series yourself because it's 10/10.)

I also had some fun To All the Boys I've Loved Before events that I wanted to share a little bit about! It was so exciting to be able to be a part of celebrating this incredible film, as well as the book series I love and an author I adore, so I'm pretty psyched I had all these opportunities.

I had the exciting chance to visit the Facebook headquarters last Monday to ask Jenny Han some questions for a Facebook Live session! It was an invitation I immediately said yes to, and I'm so glad I did. The Facebook HQ is such a fun place (all the art! and the food!). And getting to ask Jenny questions was fun too! (Here's a link to the full session.) Unfortunately, we couldn't take a ton of photos inside but I do have these fun mini room photos with Audrey from S&S!

Thanks to the lovely folks at Simon & Schuster, as well as the Goodreads and Netflix teams, I got to be at an early AND theatrical screening of To All the Boys I've Loved Before. It was so fun to see this rom-com up on a big screen with so many other excited folks (and the free popcorn, soda and tote with a copy of the movie tie-in edition didn't hurt either)! I also got to see so many friends - Kristin, Monica, Michael, Emma, DJ, Mitali, Emily and Audrey, just to name a few. More thoughts on the film later, but post-screening, we were treated to a mini Q&A hosted by Goodreads with Jenny Han, Lana Condor and Susan Johnson. And Jenny signed books for fans afterwards too!

My friends Kristin, Rachel & I decided we wanted to get together to watch To All the Boys I've Loved Before as well, so we ended up having a little party at Kristin's place. The decor, the food choices and the outfits - we all did our best to match Lara Jean's character descriptions and the books, and I think we succeeded!

To All the Boys I've Loved Before film
I LOVED THIS MOVIE. I honestly think that it's going to be right up there with 'She's the Man' as one of my go-to comfort films, and it'll definitely be top of mind when I'm making rom-com lists. The film really captures the heart of the books so darn well, the actors did an excellent job portraying the characters I'm so fond of and the story is still just as heartwarming, emotional and thoughtful as it is in the books. It all really came together to be one incredible movie, and I'm seriously hoping that Netflix will consider adapting the rest of this series.

Have you read the series? Seen the film? Tell me all your thoughts!
