Rachel of Hello, Chelly and I have teamed up once more to bring you a collaboration that involves two of my favorite things: New York City and food. Welcome to Table for Two, where the two of us will be highlighting restaurants and dessert spots in New York City. Each month, you'll be hearing our personal opinions on the place and the food! Today, I'll be sharing about our recent visit to NoMo Kitchen for my birthday dinner (with the bonus addition of our friend DJ!), while Rachel shares about our experience at Grace Street.
In the interest of complete honesty, I picked out NoMo Kitchen for my birthday dinner and this month's feature on a whim! Rachel & I walked past it one day when we were hanging out, and it reminded me of her birthday dinner a couple of years back. I'd always wanted to go, and so, the decision was made! NoMo Kitchen, as their website states, "offers a rustic American menu with Mediterranean influences helmed by Chef Jesse Olson", and the menu changes seasonally. They also offer handcrafted seasonal cocktails, though we didn't partake this time!
Since it was a special occasion, we got plenty of food to share! We started off with local burrata and 1/2 dozen oysters, had pasta for our main courses (DJ & I both chose to have the special, and Rachel went with the spaghetti) and we finished off with dessert. (I should have paid more attention to the actual names of dishes, so that's on me!). Everything was absolutely delicious! I really enjoyed everything we had and we demolished it all in no time.
If you're planning on visiting NoMo Kitchen yourself, it'd be best to have a reservation in advance - no matter which day of the week you'll be going! This restaurant is located at 9 Crosby Street, New York, NY 10013. Check out their website for more information!
