July started off well enough with a shorter work week (thanks to July 4th!), but I was quickly struck down with whatever virus had Macky in its clutches. Once I recovered, however, the month took a turn for the better! There were plenty of ice cream dates, a number of shows and concerts, a surprising number of anime binges, my first ever yacht party and lots of quality time with friends and family. In the end, it was such a fun month and the perfect lead-up to my birthday (which is coming up this Sunday)!
My reading slowed down a fair bit during July (partly due to feeling ill, partly due to being so hyper-focused on my consumption of anime). But I read two books that I really loved - Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik and The Darkest Legacy by Alexandra Bracken. And I also got to reread a book that I still love - The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken.

ReplyDeleteI've been such an anime and manga mood recently too! It's been taking over almost all my free time. No complaints here though.
