Rachel of Hello, Chelly and I have teamed up once more to bring you a collaboration that involves two of my favorite things: New York City and food. Welcome to Table for Two, where the two of us will be highlighting restaurants and dessert spots in New York City. Each month, you'll be hearing our personal opinions on the place and the food! I'm two days late in sharing this month's post, mostly because I was sick enough to not feel up to finishing it until now. Anyway, this month, I'm talking about a new(ish) dessert placed called Mochii, while Rachel shared about the seafood we had at The Mermaid Oyster Bar.
Mochii is a little shop that recently opened up in New York that offers a variety of light dessert options to visitors. All their desserts are handmade every day with fresh ingredients, which you can certainly infer from the taste. While we were there, Rachel and I decided to split a bunch of options - strawberry & fruit loops daifuku, chocolate & mini oreo pieces daifuku, vanilla and nutella daifuku, pineapple mochi ice-cream and mange mochi ice-cream. I did enjoy the daifuku (it was my first time trying mochi with cream versus ice cream as its filling), but I was certainly partial to the mochi ice-cream, particularly the mango. I would definitely come back for more mochi ice-cream (and to try their other desserts too)! If you're interested in visiting Mochii, the shop is found on 116 E 7th St. Be sure to let us know if you decide to check it out!
Ohh, yay for enjoying this dessert place a bunch :D It looks so pretty. I wish there were lots of places like this to eat in my town too. Sigh. But there is not. Aw. Thank you for sharing Alexa. <3 Always love seeing the places you try :D
