It feels like I time traveled in August, because the days between the first and last of this month are all a blur of fun times, anime binges, reading a ton of great books and the last few weeks of summer. My birthday month has certainly been a lot of fun, and I'm really happy with everything I've gotten up to!
WHAT I DID
I kicked off August with a Coldplay concert, the tickets being my birthday gift from my sister Mel. But on the actual day of my birthday, I kept things simple with a casual picnic with friends who are practically family. I also had the opportunity to see a lot of my friends this month, with dinners, brunch and ice cream dates all happening in the span of about two weeks. Rachel & I also had the chance to go see Dirty Dancing when they showed it for movie night in Bryant Park (which was a ton of fun)! Apart from that, I also finished binge watching season two of Rurouni Kenshin (so good, you guys, and I can't wait for season three), binge watched the Defenders with our friends Pat & Ian, and began writing part two of the Naruto fic I started this year. All in all, I must say that it's been a really productive month and I look forward to keeping it up come September!
