The Sunday Mix is here again! I'm always excited to share the posts I've come across in the weeks between my posts. But seriously, there are some incredibly fun posts for y'all to peruse in today's list of links, so please check them out!
- Jen is doing a fun Buzzworthy Books series with publishers! One of my favorites is the edition featuring Penguin Random House Canada titles, but definitely check them all out.
- Need help figuring out what to pre-order? B&N Teens has you covered. Speaking of 2017 releases, Amaris has compiled a post filled with February releases. And Mishma has a list of diverse January releases.
- Kelly is one of my travel inspirations, as well as being a gal I live through vicariously. She explains a little bit about why she travels. And I could totally relate to what she was saying!
- Should authors agree with everything they write? Cait explores this in one of her discussion posts, and it really got me thinking.
- Sanne did a video with author Katherine Webber, and it is absolutely delightful. I've known Katherine on Twitter for a while, and I'm super excited to read her book!
- Lauren is doing another Cosy Reading Night next weekend. I'm really excited about the fact that I'll likely get to be a part of things this time around, and I'll hope you'll join in as well!
- Emma Gannon's Oxford Union speech is wonderfully inspiring, and I only wish I could have been there to hear it in person.
- Cait tackles the unrealistic things that happen in YA books, and it made for a good laugh.
- Jean's series where she pairs modern reads with classic literature is going to be a good one. I was fascinated by the first edition, and can't wait for more!
- I may only be a year into the fandom, but I love Doctor Who. If you've never watched the show, here's an excellent post detailing the order in which you should watch it!
- Can we please discuss how amazing it is going to be to have Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander narrating the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them audiobook? He was the perfect Newt in the film, and I can't wait to listen to him narrate this book.
- Let's be real: the situation in the world is real stressful at the moment. But it doesn't mean we should give up or give in, and I've been striving (and struggling) to find a balance that works for me personally. This really helpful article was just what I needed to read, and I hope it helps you too!
- I'm always wary of adaptations, but I'm admittedly a little bit curious about the Netflix adaptation of Anne of Green Gables. Anyone else?
- It can be really hard not to compare yourself to the endless amount of inspiring people who share their lives, their photos, their videos and more online. But what looks perfect isn't all that there is to a person - all of us have our own share of imperfections and should learn to embrace them. It's something I'm working on, and I thought this article would be a good one to share!
- One of the things I liked about Obama was his love of books. Here's a really great article highlighting how books were a part of his presidency (including the titles he read)!
- I've really admired Alexandra Bracken as a writer for years now, and this article about her writing and publishing experience is such a good read.
- I've always loved Neville Longbottom, and watching Cece discuss why he is her favorite character in the Harry Potter series is incredible. (You should just check out her HP Chats, period, as they're awesome!)
