October was a pretty cool month, literally and figuratively. The temperatures dropped, which means the days of boots, flannel shirts, sweaters and leather jackets are upon us! I can't really complain, since I do enjoy dressing up for this season and it gives me an excuse to shop. The weather kept me indoors most of the time, so I've been chilling at home, catching up on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and reading plenty of books too!
WHAT I DID
Macky and I got to see Jason Robert Brown perform on the 1st, as we attended his monthly showcase at Subculture. He's got such a great presence, and his musical/lyrical skills are totally undeniable. I also got to spend an afternoon with my favorite pretend boss Jodi Meadows when she was in town for NYCC. I love hanging out with Jodi because she's really just one of the most wonderful human beings I know. Other than that, I participated in the #BooktoberFest Instagram challenge, baked with my sister Mel and tackled my Christmas shopping list!

You had such an exciting month! I haven't read an Alexandra Bracken book, but I'm super excited for Passenger. The Darkest Minds looks pretty good too. I keep hearing amazing things about that series. :)
ReplyDeleteThose cupcakes look lovely! I'm also very impressed that you started Christmas shopping already!
ReplyDeleteYour month looks like it has been super busy! I really like that a cool month for you in the US means flannel shirts and leather jackets. Living in the UK means that I have been in full coat and hat, scarf and gloves for the past 2 weeks! Your cupcakes look yummy, I have been baking too this month as our apple trees have gone crazy with the amount of apples on them, so I have made about 30 apple pies/crumbles over the past few weeks which should keep me going through the winter! I really want to read The Darkest Minds, but as always there is always something else that I pick up first! Hopefully I will get round to it soon! Enjoy November! :)
ReplyDeleteThis rose cupcakes look ah-mazing. Oh my god! I can't believe how many books you read!!! Jealous. I'm excited to start Passenger, and as you know I also love The Perilous Sea <3
