As always, this feature is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish!
Sarah J. Maas - Her debut novel Throne of Glass was incredible, and I'm a huge fan! I also think she's one of the nicest, sweetest and most genuine writers. I also give her credit for inspiring me to want to write again.
Jodi Meadows - The world she created in Incarnate is fascinating, and I'm excited about the next book in the series. She's also incredibly cool on Twitter, and I love seeing what her knitting projects are and what her ferrets are up to.
Huntley Fitzpatrick - I loved her debut novel My Life Next Door so, so much. She's an incredible writer (especially when it came to the romance!), and I'm excited to see what she does next. I did get the opportunity to meet her, and I think she's incredibly sweet.
Kat Zhang - Her debut novel What's Left of Me is completely original, and I'm excited to see where the series goes. I love the fact that she's an Asian author, and I think that it's her youth, energy and her excitable personality on Twitter that definitely add to my adoration!
Marissa Meyer - I don't even have the words to convey how much I adore her novel Cinder. Seriously. It's AMAZING. I love Marissa's writing, her characters, her world and her story. I would definitely jump at the opportunity to meet her!
Jennifer Echols - I had never read an Echols book before this year, but that changed with Such a Rush. The way she writes her romances is so good, and her characters are so real. I'm definitely going to be checking out more of her stuff!
Jenny Han - I fell in love with The Summer I Turned Pretty (and subsequently, have been craving a visit to a beach house ever since). It's such a perfectly written story, with character complexity and love and all that good stuff. Plus, Jenny is pretty darn awesome in person!
Melina Marchetta - Oh, I am so glad that I finally picked up Jellicoe Road this year because it introduced me to the beautiful writing from this amazing author. I love the way this book is written, and how it evoked so many feelings. It was an honor to hear her speak and see her in person!
Diana Peterfreund - I've only just read For Darkness Shows the Stars but if that's any indication of Diana's writing, I'm pretty much SOLD. I loved that book, as it made me feel so many things, and combined a few of my favorite elements - a good heroine, a romance to root for and an interesting world.
Jennifer E. Smith - I loved The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, but I loved You Are Here even more. There's something incredibly lyrical to Jennifer's writing, and I enjoy reading about these complex, unique characters she comes up with. She's also very sweet in person!
Love your list. Plus you gave me some authors to check out. Feel free to stop by My TTT
