I'm a little late in posting this, but I thought I'd share anyway, as it's Book Blogger Appreciation Week! Today's topic: Pimp the book you think needs more recognition on this day.
It took me a little time to figure out which book I wanted to highlight for this post, but I've finally decided which of my favorite reads this year to highlight. I've chosen The Edumacation of Jay Baker by Jay Clark, which is a great book "if you're looking for something fun, quirky and will have you laughing and smiling while you read it", as I said in my review.

Publisher: Henry Holt and Co.
Publication Date: January 31, 2012
A few "sexy" bullet points about Jay:
- He is in love with a cheerleader named Cameo "Appearance" Parnell
- He is forever losing "Love-15" to tennis-playing goddess Caroline Richardson
- He rocks a touche array of pop-culture references, jokes, and puns
- His family-life cookie is about to crumble.
Live vicariously through Jay as he faces off against his mortal enemy, gets awkward around his dream girl(s), loses his marbles in a Bermudian love triangle, watches his parents' relationship implode, and, finally, learns to get real and be himself(ish).
Don't just take it from me! You can see what some of other book bloggers had to say about it:
Sash says: "Definitely pick up this 2012 Debut book when you're in the mood for lots of laughs, a good contemporary story, and/or a boy POV! I enjoyed it!" (from her Goodreads review)
Amanda says: "The Edumacation of Jay Baker is a quick read that will make you laugh at all of the antics, and feel for Jay through all of his downs." (from her review)
Jess says: "Actually, if I could, I’d pull all kinds of quotes from this book and show them to you. But really, opening it to any page will find you a passage that will make you smile, if not outright laugh. I look forward to many more books from Jay Clark. Especially if they will be as enjoyable as this one." (from her review)
I've seen this book everywhere! I'll have to add it to my list -- it looks super good! I love a good, quick, fun read!
