Today is a very special day on the blog! My friend Elena of Novel Sounds (which is awesome and amazing and you need to go check it out if you
haven’t yet) and I are hosting an unofficial pre-celebration for the release
day of Sarah J. Maas’ incredible debut novel, Throne of Glass.
The book is officially out in stores
tomorrow, August 7. If you want to know what I thought of the book and WHY I
think you should pick up a copy, feel free to check out my review, Elena & Kendra’sreview and our friend Magan’s review. And if you feel lucky and want a chance
to win a signed copy of the book, check out this post and then enter the
giveaway at the end of it!
If you've already read Throne of Glass and loved it, feel free to add any (or all) of these awesome buttons Elena made to your sidebar.
As this is a celebration, Elena and I wanted to do fun posts related to Throne of Glass on our blogs. Today, you’re going to see an ode that I’ve written to the book (and yes, I loved it enough to write an ode to it) and a feast that I think should be prepared for those of us who are reading it.

And now, for my ode:
A truth: there is nothing I adore more
Than a fantastic fantasy story
Filled with magic, mayhem, romance and lore.
Read Throne of Glass and you won't be sorry!
Celaena, the assassin, is kick-ass,
Feminine, athletic and very smart,
Though she gets into trouble quite a lot.
Her story, filled with adventure and sass,
also had romance that tugged at the heart.
Don't wait anymore - this book must be bought!
Whew! That required more work than I thought, but I hope you liked it as much as I enjoyed making it! Throne of Glass certainly found a place in my heart, and I hope it does in yours too.

This is awesome Alexa! I have to say, right now I'm Team Chaol... I just don't trust Dorian's intentions. I can't wait for the rest of this series!
ReplyDeleteAdventure and sass, that's right! Love your ode and this post. I can't wait to see your feast later on. :D
ReplyDeleteI'd write an ode to Richele Mead's VA series. The series is one of my all time favorites! Though I'm not as creative as you so I probably won't be able to pull it off :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review!:))
I'd write an ode to Juliet Marillier's Daughter of the Forest. Sorcha definitely deserves one! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteProbably the Vampire Academy series, Hunger Games or Harry Potter. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would have to say Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi. It has been my favorite book so far this year and I can't wait for the next one to come out.
ReplyDeleteI would write my ode to Daniel Handler/Lemony Snicket. A Series of Unfortunate Events was such a big part of my childhood.
ReplyDeleteI've heard nonstop good things about this one! MUST READ! Also, your ode is so cute - better than I'd be able to do, for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great giveaway! I'd probably write an ode to one of Melina Marchetta or Kristen Cashore's books - they're my favorites!(:
ReplyDeleteI'd probably write an ode to Scott Westerfeld's Uglies series! It's my favorite : ) Love your ode and thanks for the giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteI would write an ode to the Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout =]
ReplyDeleteLux series!
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite, most ode-inspiring books would be the Delirium series and the Kate Daniels series. Loved your ode! Thanks for the giveaway! :)
ReplyDeleteYour ode put a BIG grin on my face.
ReplyDeleteAs for mine, I'd probably write one of Roald Dahl's Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. =)
Lilian @ A Novel Toybox
Mmm, all the books in the Queen's Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner. I'm awful at odes, but I did write her a love letter on my blog. I swear it's not as creepy as it sounds.
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm reading this book right now, and am loving it! I'm not entering the giveaway since I already own an ARC of it and want to give someone else a chance, but I had to stop by and get excited with you! LOVE your ode. :)
ReplyDelete- Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl
I don't know if I'm clever enough to write an ode, but I would totally write one for Harry Potter. Is that cliche?? I'd still do it :)
ReplyDeleteI would probably write an ode to ... Delirium. Thanks for the giveaway! (:
ReplyDeleteDelirium definitely.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely not a poet, but if I was, I would write an ode to the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteDaughter of Smoke and Bone!
ReplyDeleteI'd probably write an ode to Jennifer L. Armentrout. I loved her covenant series.
ReplyDeleteI'd write an ode to the Divergent series. By far the best YA series I've ever read! Thanks for the opportunity to win Throne of Glass!
