A Sunday Retrospective is inspired by In My Mailbox at The Story Siren and TGIF at GReads!, where I share the books that I've acquired during the week, last week's posts and interesting links.
IN MY MAILBOXThis week, as opposed to last week, saw a lot of books come to the apartment - and most of them titles that I've been wanting to read for a while. I also got one book for review, one ARC on tour, two books that were a complete surprise and a sweet card in the mail!
The fantastic books I got from the library include:
Something Like Normal by Trish Doller
You are Here by Jennifer E. Smith
Wentworth Hall by Abby Grahame
The Magnolia League (Magnolia League #1) by Katie Crouch
The White Glove War (Magnolia League #2) by Katie Crouch
Origin by Jessica Khoury (Thanks Ashley of Ashley Loves Books for sending this to me as part of the mini-tour!)
Silhouette of a Sparrow by Molly Beth Griffin (Thanks Meredith of Milkweed Editions!)
And now, I need help solving this mystery! Someone very generous sent me two books via Book Depository. I'm so grateful and would love to say thank you in person! The two books they sent me are below.
Unearthly by Cynthia Hand
Alanna: The First Adventure by Tamora Pierce (which I read, but don't own so yay!)

ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy them!! I really loved Unearthly, you need to read it and be Team Tucker with me! :)
Also: your library is awesome, I'm dying to read The White Glove War!
Can I just say I adore this weekly post? It's quickly becoming one of my favorites to check out :) Something Like Normal! You must tell me when you read this one. I am off to check out more of the Traveling Tales posts that I may have missed. And that is SO nice of someone to randomly send you books like that. I love nice people :)
ReplyDeleteCUPCAKE CARD.
ReplyDeleteWe should read Sparrow at the same time! I have to throw it on my Nook this week. :)
And yay for a Jennifer E. Smith read! I'm curious what you think of this one. It was a slower read for me, and not my favorite but still gorgeous.
OH YAY SOMETHING LIKE NORMAL YAY YAY YAY TRISH DOLLER IS AMAZING YAY YAY YAY I'm insta-read for her after this book. Seriously. Can't you tell?
ReplyDeleteAlso, how sweet of someone to send you books! I hope the mystery gets solved for ya!
I so cannot wait to read Something Like Normal and I am even more excited to see what you think of it. Seeing as Ginger adored it I kind of had a feeling I would too but still, two opinions are better than one. Also, thank you for including my blog this week Miss Alexa!!! I appreciate it more than you know awkward twin :)
ReplyDeleteHOOOORAY FOR ALL THESE BOOKS!! I'm glad you found out who sent you those books and I always love your Around the Community links. ENJOY YOUR BOOKS <3 <3
