JUST LIKE HEAVEN was perfectly... heavenly. Puns aside, I really did enjoy this JULIA QUINN romance - it was light, it was fluffy and it was lovely to read. Though it's not necessarily my favorite novel she's written (and that accolade still belongs to majority of the Bridgerton series), this historical romance was such great fun to read!
Honoria and Marcus are typical characters in a historical romance, if I'm being perfectly honest. So, in the case of this book, it was the story that really kept me interested. It was fun to read about Marcus and Honoria's various encounters, including the time one of them was deathly ill. I thought that JULIA QUINN did a great job with the story, as she kept it particularly focused on the brewing friendship and romance between our hero and heroine, with little subplots here and there to add more to the tale.
As always, I was thoroughly entertained and definitely tickled pink by the romance and the shenanigans and the story of this novel. JULIA QUINN certainly knows what she's doing when it comes to her chosen genre, as demonstrated in JUST LIKE HEAVEN - and I can't wait to read more of her books.
This one sounds precious!!! I think I'm well overdue for a fun, fluffy, light read and this one may be it!
ReplyDeleteI love Julia Quinn! I've been reading her books since....well, since it was probably inappropriate for me to be reading them, but what can I say? This one sounds good :)

I absolutely adore the blurb for this, I knew as soon as I read it that I wanted to read this book and I really enjoyed your review, even if the characters aren't that unique!
