This books sounds really interesting! I'm pretty new to the world of fantasy YA, but I've gravitated towards ones that create vivid, unique worlds - and it sounds like this one is perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, I'm a new follower of yours!

I love Maria V. Snyder, I'm yet to read Touch of Power though, its sitting in my ever growing tbr pile, I must get to it soon. Thanks for stopping by, I'm following you back
ReplyDeleteHey, great recommendation! I'm going to have to give this author a try. Thanks for visiting my blog today!
ReplyDeleteReturning the visist! Maria Snyder's a very good author--I like her SF. I just wanted to say thank for the SOPA discussion at the top of your blog--we all want to stop book piracy (it's so bad for our favorite authors), but not everyone knows about the weirdness that this bill could create for ordinary people on the internet.
ReplyDeleteI've seen this book recommened three times now. I will for sure check it out. Now I am excited to read it cuz so many people have liked it. That's a good sign. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Dying to read this one now that I've seen it here and actually read the synopsis. Beforehand, I had heard quite a bit about this one. but never really paid attention I guess :P.
ReplyDeleteGreat pick, Alexa!
I love the book trailer for this one! It is just awesome, and I have heard nothing but good things about it! I really need to pick this one up! I hope you enjoy The Dark and Hollow Places by Carrie Ryan, because it really is my favorite out of the Forest of Hands and Teeth series. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't going to buy Touch of Power but if you really think of that as being the best of your last 10, then I might have to give it more of an oppurtunity. Everyone seems to like it, but saying it's the best of a selection is whole different kind of good!
ReplyDeleteI've seen this popping up on a lot of blogs lately. I might need to check it out!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recommendation.

I LOVED Touch of Power. I just finished the Insider series by Snyder...so good, and so different from her other series, but kinda the same, too. Now I just have to read the Glass series. I don't think she can write anything I won't love. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read this yet, but I've heard great things about it. Love the cover! Thanks for visiting!
ReplyDeleteI've got Poison Study on my shelf waiting for me. I've heard she is fab in all ways possible. I can't wait to dive into both series this year.
ReplyDeleteYayyy! I love, love, love this novel!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of this book/series. Is it older? I have to admit I'm not a lover of this cover. But I'm always up for trying a new fantasy ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to read Touch of Power too - Snyder is an amazing author.
ReplyDeleteI keep seeing things about this book --- so maybe I should just pick it up for myself!! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
As I just said in the comment on your actual review, I can't wait to read more from this author now! Her stories sound magical and fascinating and DEFINITELY like something I would love :)
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing this around a lot lately ... I loved her Study books (the first 2 -- the 3rd one dragged for me) and should really check this one out someday (<--says the girl whose TBD pile is ca-ray-zy!)
