Book Blogger Love-a-Thon

Katelyn from Kate's Tales of Books and Bands is one of the most genuine, nicest and awesome bloggers I've gotten to know as I dive further into the world of book blogging (and nothing would make me happier than to finally meet her in person at BEA 2012!).  She came up with the idea of hosting a Book Blogger Love-a-Thon - and I truly think it's an amazing idea. I've signed on to do the event, but here's more information in case you're interested in signing up as well!

WHAT is the Love-a-Thon?

If the goal of a read-a-thon event is to read as many books as possible, the goal of the love-a-thon is to get bloggers to spread the love to other bloggers. This is your opportunity to let your fellow bloggers know how much you appreciate them, how awesome they are and to genuinely share in a spirit of camaraderie and positivity!

How is this to be done? Well, you could write a post up on all your favorite blogs, tell a blogger how awesome you think they are, comment on the posts they work so hard to write and whatever else you can come up with!

As taken from Katelyn's post, the event will also "consist of fun posts, mini challenges, lots of commenting and perhaps a giveaway or two!". The schedule's set to be pretty simple and relaxed, so there's definitely going to be no pressure!

WHEN is it going to happen?

February 17, 2012 at 12:00AM EST until February 18, 2012 at 12:00AM EST - though you're not required to stick around for the whole duration of the event.

WHERE is it going to be happening?

You can utilize all the various options open to you - Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and so on - but the posts will be primarily on your blog.

WHO can sign up to participate?

Anyone who wants to show their appreciation for bloggers and genuinely share the love is welcome to sign up. It's definitely recommended to have a blog, as you'll probably want a place to post stuff. You can see how to sign up by reading on.
