Whenever I think about what books I've got on my TBR, it usually overwhelms me. SO MANY CHOICES! I do want to read all of these (at some point), though, so let's hope it happens.
1. City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare
Many people have already read this one - and sad to say, I'm not one of them. I have a particular care when it comes to series, where I want to remember every detail, so I have to reread the first part all over before I can read this one.
2. Incarceron by Catherine Fisher
Intriguing premise, possibly exciting story - and yet, I still haven't read it.
3. Firelight by Sophie Jordan
I want to read this book so bad, but I keep forgetting I already have it. I'll try to remedy that this weekend, by hopefully getting it started.
4. Swoon by Nina Malkin
Ditto to #3.
5. Marked by P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast
I have heard mostly good things about this series, but I have yet to read it. I've been taking a break from the paranormal lately, and venturing into contemporary reads.
6. Hereafter by Tara Hudson
I love the cover of this book - but it always get puts at the bottom of my TBR pile because it's a weighty hardbound. (Yes, apparently, I can be inordinately shallow when it comes to the books I heft around - I don't like something too heavy!)
7. Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro
I started this one once, then lost interest. But I still do want to read it before I watch the movie, because I'm very curious about it's story.
8. Eona by Alison Goodman
See #1. I am very excited about this one because Shanella over at Shanella Reads got me an autographed copy because I won her haiku contest!
9. Tortall and Other Lands by Tamora Pierce
I love Tamora Pierce. The only reason this book has gone unread is because I want to wait for a moment where I can properly savor it.
10. The Alchemyst by Michael Scott
I've read this previously but it was a while back; I want to continue with the series, but I believe this deserves a read first.
What books do you have sitting unread on your shelf?
Ooh, I haven't read City of Fallen Angels yet either. I loved the first three in the series, and I enjoyed the ending of City of Glass. I just don't want to ruin that ending, haha.
ReplyDeleteI've read Marked and City of Fallen Angels, all the others I could add to my wishlist! I love the cover of Eona, so that would probably be my first choice :)
ReplyDeleteYup, my TBR just keeps growing and growing every time I visit a new blog, lol.
ReplyDeleteI know EXACTLY how you feel. Same thing has happened to a lot of my books.
ReplyDeleteIt does! I'm getting mixed reviews of it though, so I'll have to read it and find out for myself!
ReplyDeleteI'm really hoping I do, especially before the New Year starts! I essentially want to diminish my TBR pile... which just looks like it isn't happening yet. lol
ReplyDeleteFirelight has been on my TBR pile for a while, too, although not as long as some others! I'm with you on Tamora Pierce needing to be savoured.

I have some of these on my TBR as well. The Alchemyst has piqued my interest. I am trying sooo hard to NOT add to my TBR but each blog I go to has great stuff! lol..
ReplyDeleteBOOKS & BEYOND
I need to read Marked because I have that one, too, although I've heard bad things about it. So, I'm worried, but I'll just have to read it to find out how I feel about it, as I should. The Alchemyst is another one I'm interested in...
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog post today. Have a good one!
Never Let Me Go is wonderful. And Oncarceron is on my wishlist. :)
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Top Ten Tuesday post. :)
I so need to read Incarceron.
ReplyDeleteI have quite a few of these on my TBR pile, as well. So many books, so little time. I hope you have as much fun as I do catching up!
ReplyDeleteI bought Firelight months ago thinking I'd read it right away, but . . .
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure when I'll finally get to it.
I planned on reading Hereafter in October, bu that month has come and gone and the the book still sits unread on my shelf. *sigh*
Seriously, most of my reading plans never work out.

looks like a fun list--enjoy. kaye—the road goes ever ever on
ReplyDeleteI haven't yet read City of Fallen Angels either (its just not on my shelf yet!) If Incarceron is anything like its sequel Sapphique----mind blowing.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I hope you get a chance to start those one day :)

Never Let Me Go should have been on my list, too. It looks really good, doesn't it/
